Project Description

Supply & install of motorised commercial blinds & Curtains.

ACMEblinds was proud to contribute to the Horgan’s Quay redevelopment, a transformative six-acre mixed-use project along the River Lee that beautifully integrates Cork’s industrial heritage with modern urban living. This landmark scheme, which breathes new life into disused railway lands, features three state-of-the-art office blocks accommodating up to 5,000 employees, 237 private rental apartments across four blocks, a 136-bed hotel with a rooftop restaurant, and over 2,285 sq. m. of retail and restaurant spaces.

Our bespoke motorised blinds were tailored to harmonize with the architectural vision of Horgan’s Quay, providing precise light control that enhances energy efficiency while maintaining a comfortable and productive atmosphere for residents, employees, and visitors. The blinds play a key role in supporting the development’s compliance with NZEB standards, aligning with its commitment to sustainability and modern design excellence.

At the heart of this project are the conservation and adaptive reuse of historic structures like the Station House, the Carriage Shed, and the Goods Shed, along with the restoration of the striking nine-meter-high Cork limestone wall. These elements seamlessly merge the past with the future, creating a vibrant and functional urban enclave.

Our collaboration with Horgan’s Quay underscores ACMEblinds’ expertise in delivering innovative shading solutions that meet the unique demands of large-scale developments. By enhancing the aesthetic and functional aspects of this visionary project, we reaffirm our role as a trusted partner for sustainable, design-led environments.
